A Greek grape variety, which is coming from Nemea in Peloponnese. Known for the aromatic red wines that can be enjoyed fresh or for the velvety oaky reds that can age for up to ten years. Vibrant ruby color with violet hues. Intense aromas of juicy red fruits, cherry and sour cherry on the nose. Complex but also delicate in the mouth with a fruity taste, rich, with velvety tannins and a long buttery aftertaste.
Manual harvest and direct transfer to the winery in small crates. Destemming and transfer to stainless steel vinifiers where extraction and alcoholic fermentation take place at a controlled temperature.
Percentage of wine (30%) undergoes malolactic fermentation in second-use French oak barrels where it matures for 9 months. The remaining percentage of wine (70%) remains in stainless tanks where the blend is made.
