An important appellation in the Médoc, Pauillac benefits from an exceptional terroir characterized by gravelly hilltops, clay subsoil that ensures natural drainage and encourages the vines to develop deep roots: these are the perfect conditions for the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. Légende R Pauillac is made from grapes grown in the vineyards of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and, once again, the wines are made with the same attention to detail as a Grand Vin. They are classic, top quality wines but produced from DBR's newest vines. Their structure is less full than Grand Vin coming from older vines, allowing them to mature more quickly within a few months in the bottle, offering an original, unique style, with the fullness and complexity for which it is known the appellation.
Deep purple color with black highlights. The nose is complex and subtle, the aromatic bouquet unfolds during maturation. As it takes its time & its oxygen in the glass, notes of wood, spice and graphite are revealed gently woven together. Powerful on the palate, this full-bodied wine shows persistence and rich flavor in the mouth. Enjoy it now or age it for another 5 to 7 years.
