This fine but distinctive wine has an attractive pale yellow color with intense lemon hues. Its bouquet captures the great elegance and complexity that barrel aging in lees gives the wine. The fruity notes of pear and pineapple blend with those of white flowers and citrus, harmonizing perfectly with notes of brioche, nuts, coconut, and vanilla on a savory background of candied fruits. On the palate, it is silky and very full-bodied, with a delicious combination of white fruit and citrus and just the right amount of acidity that adds freshness and vibrancy. The sweet, lingering finish ends with an aftertaste filled with notes of fruit and toasted bread.
