You can name Claus as an “artisanal” wine producer. He likes everything flowing naturally. As he says, he makes wine by following his instinct, his heart, his nose, and his mouth. No matter how hard you try, you won’t find wines of every vintage in the market! The wines he is choosing for bottling are as unique as every moment in his vineyard, which consists of scattered crops around his winery. He goes along with Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, and he vinifies grapes like Saint Laurent, Zweigelt, Blaüfrankisch, Grüner Veltliner, Weissburgunder without filtering, clarification, without adding sulfites. He just impresses!
