Gabb Family
The Gabb Family estate is located on the southern slopes of the Stellenbosch. It produces high quality wines where they have the characteristic griffin on their labels. It is said that the griffin was a mythical creature, half a lion, half an eagle & he was protecting the priceless valuables. In the case of the Gabb winery, it protects the vineyards, the land & the team behind the Gabb Family. The dynamic winemaker Leon Esterhuizen intervenes just a little in the winemaking process, letting the nature give her best self. The use of American & French oak barrels, clay eggs and amphorae, make the wines having complexity & a sophisticated character.
