Condado de Oriza Reserva is produced from Tempranillo grapes (Tinta del País) carefully selected from 20-year-old vines.
Dark ruby red with subtle orange nuances. The nose presents a complex bouquet of cherries and dried plums combined with balsamic and spicy savory notes. These are mixed with flavors of mocha, toast, caramel, and tobacco, as well as a hint of pepper. The palate reflects the nose with additional herbal and leather notes. The wine shows intense but very well-integrated tannins, moderate acidity, and a long, velvety finish.
The grapes are carefully selected and undergo a five-day maceration process. Fermentation at a controlled temperature (26-28ºC) guarantees the maximum expression of the variety. The wine is then aged for 24 months in American and French oak barrels before bottling. The wine completes the maturation process in the bottle, where it remains for 12 months.
