As a commemoration of 10 years of 𝗗𝗕𝗕𝗥 𝗟𝗮𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗲 in Chile, "𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘃é𝗲" Le Dix was created. Le Dix de Los Vascos comes from 70-year-old vines in "El Fraile". Particularly complex, balanced & elegant at the same time, with noticeable tannins and aromas of very ripe fruit accented by spicy notes of cedar, bay, and eucalyptus.
Le Dix is made with the utmost care, as are the Bordeaux Grands Crus. The grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand. After removal of the stalk, they are placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for alcoholic fermentation. During maceration, gentle pumping is carried out only when necessary for the gentle extraction of tannins and coloring compounds. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally in tanks and then the wine is transferred to French oak barrels made by Tonnellerie des Domaines in Pauillac (60% new oak) for a period of 18 months. The wine reveals its complexity with further aging in the bottle. Possibility of aging in ideal conditions, up to ten years or more.
Le Dix has a beautifully intense, bright, deep red color. The nose is complex, with aromas of black cherry, ripe strawberry, and plum, with subtle notes of oak, cedar, graphite, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals its full glory, with soft, distinct tannins and, thanks to the cool nights in Los Vascos, a subtle acidity to accompany this balance.
