The winery's richest and most intense Brunello Di Montalcino, from a vineyard on the eastern side of the zone. Deep ruby color. Intense and complex nose, with aromas of blood orange, violet, wet earth, espresso, and balsamic herbs. Full, creamy, and soft in the mouth with a hint of mineral saltiness. Very long aftertaste. It goes well with complex dishes based on red meats and mature cheeses.
Manual harvest in the first week of September. Fermentation with native yeasts and extraction for 50 days in large open oak barrels. Aging 26 months in large capacity wooden barrels and then 16 months in concrete tanks.
